It's official, we are set up with The Mecca Restaurant for breakfast and blood
drive for March 15, 8:30 until 12:30.
The Mecca is located at 10422 Harry
Hines Blvd, about 2 or 3 blocks north of Northwest Hwy. (Remember where the old
Circle was located?) Our group will be in a private room upstairs.
Come when you can between those hours and you can order from the menu whenever
you get there.
If you can't donate blood, come anyway and enjoy a hearty breakfast and visit with friends. If there is any one who is not on the email list who may want to come or donate, please let them know.
The Carter Blood Center bus will be located at the Lombardy Street parking entrance at The Mecca. Our donation credits from the last drive will expire on 8/25/08 (one year from the drive date). The donation credits from this drive will expire in one year from March 15, 2008. Just before the expiration date we can donate the credits to an organization such as Shriner's Children's Hospital.
Harriet says for those interested in a little shopping after breakfast, Sam Moon Trading Co. is located up close to LBJ & Harry Hines along with several other discount shops.
If you are planning to come, please let us know so we can get a head count for Carter and The Mecca.
